Modelled on Tropfest, the world’s largest short film festival, Trop Jr is a short film festival for filmmakers aged 15 years and younger.
Now in its sixth year, Trop Jr is about encouraging young people to make films. It follows the same format as all Tropfest competitions, in that all entries must be made specifically for the festival, be no longer than 7 minutes, and feature the Trop Jr Signature Item. The TSI for Trop Jr December 2013 is “MONSTER”.
The finalist films for Trop Jr 2013 will screen at the main event at Centennial Park, Sydney on Sunday December 8, 2013.
Trop Jr is a FREE event so round up your friends and family and join us for a day of film and fun!

What do I need to bring?
Here is our fail-safe checklist:
• picnic rug (please avoid bringing picnic rugs with plastic undersides, where possible)
• bottled water
• a plastic bag for your rubbish
• an umbrella/raincoat if the weather looks like taking a turn for the worst
• a picnic if you’re planning on self-catering!
Can I bring my furry friends?
You can bring your dog – but remember, this is a film event! Noisy pups or dogs that don’t like crowds are not a good idea. Please keep your fellow Trop-goers in mind – keep your canine under control and be sure to dispose of any ‘indiscretions’.
