“John was really intrigued by the trailer I had done in 2008, especially it’s tone and how different it felt to all the other previous trailers” Steve says. “So he asked me to direct another one for the 2010 festival. I was interested in creating something that felt more like a short film instead of the usual trailer vibe. I based the idea around the tagline – ‘Everyone has a story to tell’ and just went from there”.
Steve’s film ‘An Imaginary Life’ was the winner of Tropfest 2007. Steve also won Telstra Mobile Masterpieces 2011 with his film ‘Following’ and was a finalist in 2004 with ‘Confessions of an Animation’.
