Thanks to Nikon, for the first time in Tropfest history we are introducing a DSLR film category – in which all entries must be filmed entirely on a DSLR camera.
Designed to give filmmakers a new and accessible outlet to express their creativity, the Nikon DSLR Film Category will also showcase the versatility and capabilities of video recording technology in DSLR cameras.
The winning entrant will receive a Nikon D600 + $3,000 RRP worth of lenses and accessories.
The same rules of entry apply to all films entered into Tropfest. Films must include the TSI ‘BALLOON’, can be no longer than seven minutes, must have never been seen by a public audience and must be specifically made for Tropfest.
As noted in our Entry Guidelines, all films entered into the Nikon DSLR Film Category are also eligible to be selected as one of the Official Finalists in the main film festival competition.
Nikon DSLR Film Category Finalists will need to comply with the same Terms and Conditions as the Official Finalist Films.
