Tropfest is a free event for audiences everywhere, and filmmakers pay a nominal fee to enter their films. This means by far our main sources of revenue are our Corporate Partnerships and the Tropfest Friends With Benefits program.
Tropfest’s Friends With Benefits enable us to continue to produce the world’s largest short film festival and the most exciting launch pad for filmmakers anywhere on the planet, and to provide it to audiences FREE around the world. In return, our Friends With Benefits receive year-round invitations to screenings and parties and VIP tickets to the Tropfest events to rub shoulders with the cream of the film industry and others.
