This weeks Friday Film has been handpicked by Tropfest Finalist Matt Bird.
“I’m inspired by short films that pave the way for directors to make features, and this is a great example of a calling card film. It’s a simple story that’s well executed, with a twist that leaves you wanting more” Matt says.
“Putting aside the visual effects and set design, the film has key cinematic qualities which give it that movie feel: shot composition, lighting, editing, music and sound. Even when you’re making something on a shoestring, a creative approach to these elements can enhance the story and give your film high production values”.
